What makes a woman cry like that? A mother. My mother. I didn’t understand and I didn’t have the courage to ask her. Now, that I am a woman, married with children of my own I don’t need to, I know exactly why a woman bashes her head against the trunk of a tree.
Based on family ties and their resilience, Things I know to be true highlights tender moments, conflicts, personal concerns, communication attempts between parents and children. The play’s characters address life’s changes and challenges. Maria Kyriakou and her collaborators approach, with tenderness and truth, a familial and touching story, that tells about things that really mattered, about the small and the big things of our life.
